The work place can indeed be brutal in Australia. Suck them in and spew them out the other side would be a fairish distribution of what happened to a few European migrants I have known. All from responsible positions and either returned totally disenchanted or took far minimal roles to what experience would have suggested.

But to be fair, many migrants to Oz, European or not, do extremely well in their field of work in Australia.
