Last moment stuff
Question.....
I think I have it all under control
But is there anything that those of you in Oz already found you missed - or no one ever told you about the big move.
I'm moving out of a rented flat, so there are all the utilities to finish, and the tax forms to do.
But what else........

Be prepared for agro with the utilities - my biggest headache was Seeboard, who have refused to close my account due to TEHIR computer malfunctioning! They can't send me a statement (though I'm in credit) for about 6 months, they say, nor would they speak to the landlord! It was only because I had an excellent relationship with the landlord that he agreed to refund my deposit anyway.
The council were also a problem as they don't write "confirmation of account closure" letters, but they were willing to speak to the landlord and confirm I didn't owe them.
I gave a friend's UK address as contact for all the utitilites, in case of refund cheques etc, then my mate can bank them for me.
Last minute thoughts I'm glad I had - in the luggage that actually flies with you, make sure you bring plug adaptors (for mobile charger etc) and something that reminds you of home - even if you are in a motel then you can put stuff around you that makes you feel you belong. Also favourite CDs are a good companion. Even your favourite mug can lift your spirits, believe me!
