Can not recommend any in Melbourne, but will recommend the surgery......best thing I ever did.

Had it 2005, no problems at all since.

There are quite a few who do the operation. I know two people (not known to each other) who both used Noel Alpins - both had to have PRK for medical reasons which is not quite the same as Lasik or Lasek from what I understand.

Opticians will arrange a consultancy and when I'm brave enough I'll be asking who they or their close friends or family have used.

The ADF Recruiting website is very cagey about giving the minimum unaided vision requirement. Could you help with that, I know that opticians in the UK hold RN standards. Basically I am extremely myopic, -8 and -5 Diopters, but I correct fully to 20/20. I have no intrinsic eye disease or anything, apart from some astigmatism. It would really help with planning and peace of mind if you could give me a steer based on that data. I would welcome a PM if you could find the time. Cheers
