Default LAFHA - hardship component

Hi all
Looking for advice re this. I am eligible to claim LAFHA at present though my employer. As my husband is still in NZ at present and I commuting back & forth every second weekend, I have been advised that for LAFHA - as well as food & accommodation - I can claim a " compensation amount for being disadvantaged by living apart from my family". However my employer has put a ? as to how much to claim. There seems little advice out there on this - although I do see an example on the ATO website detailing $80 per week.

Can anyone advise what they claimed for this recently in similar circumstances ?
Or how you are supposed to calculate a $ value for this ?

Thanks

You are probably as well to call the ATO and ask what's reasonable (especially with the going back and forth to NZ... you may be able to claim more than $80)
