Hi Carol,
Every month there is a Pommie girls night out which involves going for drinks, meals, cinema.The venue changes monthly, I have been a few times and they are really good way of getting yourself out there.The lady who organises these meets is called Jane.Why don't you email her [email protected]. Its a shame you didn't post this thread earlier in the week as there was a pommie girl meet last thursday .Also Justsarah arranges girlie lunches on a regular basis, why don't you send her a pm and i'm sure something can be arranged. Where are you living on the GC?
Anyway welcome to the GC and hope you get settled really quickly. Will probably see you at a pommie girls night if you go on the next one.

Thanks for that, it's good to know there are others out there, I would love to meet up with you all, I am a bit shy in new situation but dying to make new friends. At the moment I live in Burleigh Waters, but can find my way to most places. I will email justsarah, and hope to meet you all soon,

Hi there Carol , welcome to the GC i'm sure in a few months time you will be the same as lots of us not enough time to meet up with everyone you have made freinds with,I was like you used to lots of nights out with my mates but after meeting friends from these meets and starting work it's all good even started playing netball again after years and have made friends there too get yourself to lunch/meet and go from there!! sarahxx
