Wow, down here in Geelong, my DD was $200 a term (Kinder Association run by parents). My DS is hopefully going to go to a private one (purely logistical reasons) and that is only $100 more a term.........

No, I wouldn't qualify as we will be on 457 visa. I don't really mind as we got LAFHA in our contract. The hours would suit us as well - my wife is pregnant, due on 1st April, and generally will not look for a job for couple of months anyway. I wanted to make sure that I could afford some sort of nursery for my son while we arrive. It seems that as long as there are free spaces this will be the option for us.

That's good then!
If you know which area you will be living in I would suggest contacting local centres now to see if you can put your name down. I know in our centre all places for 2012 have already been offered and accepted but this may not be the case in all centres. Good luck! |

Its way better now because they rebate it straight to the provider now, so my out of pocket is way less, none of this stupid waiting for the 1/4 for pay back business :) |
