Hi
has anyone any recommendations for putting my kids names down for when we move over there - we are in the process of building and looking at kinder and schools - by the time we move there, we will have a 3 & 2 year old

cheers

Hi Chris, there's a fair few options for both in CS. The council here is Melton so you'll need to contact them to get an application form for that. They have an email contact on their website for it (http://www.melton.vic.gov.au/). There's MASSIVE waiting lists though so you might need to look at private childcare. Around CS there's 3 ABC centres, one in Taylors Hill, one in Westwood Drive, and another in Hillside . There's another in Hillside called Munchkins too. I think there's also a new one being built near the Caroline Springs College at Creekside and there's another at the Brookside Campus.

As for schools, there's Caroline Springs College which currently has 2 campuses with a new one due to open in Feb 08. There's also a Catholic school and Mowbray which is private.

My 5 yo is at Caroline Springs College at Creekside and is doing well and we're realyl happy. I have a friend who works at Brookside campus who prefers it though. Saying that, her kids are at Mowbray and she can't rate it highly enough (expensive though - $1000 per month for both).

Hope this helps.

Gill
