justice of the peace not recognised?? help
hi i know this is a nursing issue but anyone who has had documents certified by a justice of the peace may be able to offer advice.
i have applied for nursing registration and have had a justice of the peace certify the documents but have received an email this morning telling me that they are not recognised as an appropriate authority to certify my documents.
i have no idea why and am waiting for a response from them
has anybody else no matter your job had issues with certified documents by jps being refused????
thanks marie

Just did a quick Google and found two nurse recruitment sites who both say the same so you will need to await their reply to your question I guess.
A document can be certified by a Notary of the Public, Justice of the Peace or Commissioner of Declarations (always check with the nurses board you are registering with who is allowed to certify your documents). A certified document must always be signed and dated and the certifier must always print their name and provide an address. The certified document must state, at least, ‘I certify that this is a true copy of the original’. If you are getting documents certified, always get a few copies.

While you're at it, ask them to update their website - http://www.ahpra.gov.au/Registration...Documents.aspx.
