Just received a letter from insurance company.

Just received a letter from insurance company.
We claimed for settees and a stereo tuner.
They've given us £70 for the tuner as they claim they are doing us a favour as stereos depreciate quickley and they think general use has caused the buttons to be crushed.
Not only that they say they have charged us £12 for a foreign bankers draft when enclosed is a standard cheque for sterling, with you guessed it the £12 charge taken off. So they've charged us £12 for a cheque out of a cheque book.
The letter also claimed that a bankers draft for $2000 is enclosed for the settees, well not unless it's fekking invisible it hasn't.

Rachel has spoken with them they've apologised and said they don't know where the bankers draft is so will have to order a new one.
As for the tuner they ay as we can't pin down when we bought it they have to guess the age and they go on 33% deprciation each year you've owned it, so if you have it for three years it's worthless.
But we claimed we insured it for £250 and it doesn't say anything about that on their application form, they were quite happy to take 3% 0f £250 to insure it so that's what they should be paying out.

Re: Just received a letter from insurance company.
Just spoken with the insurance company again who still haven't ordered the bankers draftand have now agreed to send a cheque to my Uk bank.
I'm still a tad miffed about the stereo tuner as I insured it for £250 at 3% which is £10.50 they want to pay me £70 which means I've paid more like 15% they can't seem to grasp this and can't understand why I'd want the amount I insured it for
