Thumbs up Just finished unloading container from Crown...

..and not 1 thing broken/scratched or dented!!!

Well chuffed as we didn't bother with insurance and were a bit worried!!

The guys here said it was really well packaged and that was why nothing was damaged, for example, the dining chairs had about 20 pieces of paper wrapped around and then cardboard.

the only thing broken was a pestle and mortar that other half dropped unwrapping

So, a big for crown from us!!!

Such a great feeling to get your stuff isn't it?

The only thing of ours that was broken was a glass fruit bowl, I was busy telling my mum and that it was actually not the end of the world because I didn't like it, when I remember that she had bought it!!!!!! So I quickly changed the description

Your timing is perfect. I was just going to post asking for feedback on the following companies in Brisbane.

Allied Pickfords
Crown
Executive Movers
Hellas Europe Australia (anyone heard of this firm?)

Glad to hear your move was a success!

it sure does feel great!
we actually live in a home now and not a bedsit

Yes, i would recommend them. It's a shame it took so long (3 months) but i think that was the case with any removal at the moment.

My inlaws used them several years ago to move from Sydney to France. They were fine.

Fantastic - must be a good feeling!

Can I ask how long it takes after the ship arrives at the port? Our ship came in (!) on Wednesday last week, but don't know how long it's likely to be until we actually get our stuff.

TIA.

Well, our stuff landed on 27th of March but took 1 week to get off the ship which took it to 3rd April. Then it went to Crown warehouse where it waited for quarantine for just over 5 weeks.

All that time we were slepping on foamies from superamart - awful nights sleep. I'm looking forward to going to bed though tonight

Ours was all done by Simpsons in UK, but Hallas in Sydney is their local removalists. Our shipment arrived in Sydney on the 29th April and we are now waiting for customes and quarentine to clear it all, customs are holding it up as they have a big queue at the moment.
