I've not forgotten you all
Hello
Sorry I have not been on the board much recently. I have not forgotten but I have left work and have no internet access at home.
Our house is sold now (money in the bank), and the house we are living in (which we rent) is empty of all our furniture. Anglo Pacific came round to pack it all and were very professional. We are sending our stuff in a shared container, which should apparently arrive in Adelaide on November 10th.
The dog has had all hs blood tests and we are dropping him off on Thursday with the company who will be sending him to Melbourne quarantine. Not lookign forward to saying goodbye to him though.
I am at my Mum's just now and getting ready to say goodbye on Monday evening. I suspect that will be hard. Having a last night out with my best friend tonight and then hubby and I will head back to Glasgow on Tuesday morning. We fly out the following Monday. I am dreading the flight a bit but I suppose the end justifies the means.
I will write again, but probably not until we are in Australia.
Good luck to everyone who is going through the application or moving process.
Mel

We have a nice understanding internet policy - you may use the net before your shift starts, after it finishes, and during your lunchbreak. Any other use must be work related......and of course I abide by that policy rigidly......! What can they do with 15 working days to go??? sack me??!!!
Actually I think they put up with people making quick dips on to sites and then off again (which is why my spelling is worse during the day cos I'm typing faster!) - its the people who stay connected for hours that they pick up. Also we are banned from chat rooms, gambling sites and porn sites - no-one has banned forums yet though!
Very funny - before I got my own pc, I would arrive at work 2 hours early for a late shift, or leave 2 hours after I clocked off if on an early shift, and cos I was there I would end up answering phones and sorting things out for people. I was part of the furniture, tapping away in the corner. Then I bought my little computer friend - and suddenly I was out of the door like a rat up an aqueduct, dead on time! Caused total confusion! Some people are still in shock!
