I've done it - RETIRED at last
Well at last Thursday was my last day working. I have hung up my earphones and am looking forward to lots of lazy days????
Well now I can get down t the lists of things to do and people to visit and etc without worrying about getting up early in the morning Poor 'old' Colin has five days to go before he hangs up his wrench.

Well don't tell Sean but I've only done a little bit of it. We are moving out of the house at the weekend so I guess I'm gonna have to get a move on

Congratulations yafm
Although not retiring, I finish my office job in 3 weeks to start my gym instructor's course. Can't wait.
All the best for your retirement.

YAFM,
I hope you really enjoy your retirement down under.
You always sound as if you are a very organised person, so I am sure your move will go smoothly.
Good Luck.

Thanks for all your good thoughts
I am now 'going to work' phoning letting agents to find out about letting the flat we are hoping t buy as we have seen in the lease that the freeholders will not allow us to let it to housing agencies or the local authority so bang go all our frantic arrangements.
With that and the no exchange yet message from our solicitors my phone is red hot (and I am almost bald)

Well done!
Still think you might be fibbing to us about your age- you don't look old enough to retire. When I sent my Mum a piccie of us all at the Brighton meet she thought you looked far too young to be retiring
