Fish and Chips at Charis in Labrador then the afternoon on the small beach/lagoon right outside or Paradise Point, great park/playgrounds (2), access to small beach/water (which has stinger/shark net) and lots of public BBQ's.

Have a great weekend whatever you decide to do.

Poor thing, if youve been here 8 months youve probably barbequed everything that moves by now, so I wont suggest that.

When we got to that stage we decided to teach the kids to surf, a few lessons in the school hols and bingo it will only be 6 weeks or so till its warm enough for that one.

Camping, cheap, a lot of packing and unpacking but kids always find it a laugh.

Drive to another coast, NSW coast, sunshine coast at least its different scenery.

Head out west a couple of hours, always interesting to see the stark contrast from tourist towns to how life really is in the bush.

Head out to stanthorpe, the coldest place in qld and order a steak sandwhich in front of a log fire.

Partner reckons some cinemas have $5 tickets at the mo? sorry havent looked into which ones yet.

Hi Paul,

Take some BBQ stuff and head to Anzac Park, the big one across from Australia Fair on the main road, excellent park for the kids, and take them on the little train that runs along the front of Southport from the park, the kids would love that, you can spend all day there for free.

Take a drive to sunshine coast. We really liked Caloundra, the kids loved dashing in and out of the water fountains, then onto the beach, and maybe a nice picnic up Glass House Mountains.
