OOOh, this is bringing back memories.
I thought the QLD roaches were big enough to fly to Japan on and I named them all 'Papa Roach'. I hated them, really really hated them and thought whoever thought of making them that size must have had an off day in the house of Mother Nature. I couldn't bear to touch them and one day I was staying in the zoo keepers house when I worked at Currumbin and she said to me 'Sam, we have someone coming to view the room, could you get rid of that roach in the spare room?' Not wanting to seem a wuss, I bravely marched into the spare room where this Papa Roach was making two finger gestures at me and all sorts of violent and obscene threats. It was you know, QLD roaches can really talk. Grabbing handfuls of tissue paper, I bent down, gritted my teeth, took a deep breath and grasped its solid body. I am sure to this day it was shouting 'let me go you pommie bitch'. Anyway, just as i thought that wasn't too bad at all, I looked down and to my horror, i had left its legs embedded in the carpet. And i was not about to pick out its bloody legs. So the giant roach now looked like a surf board for a tiny doll. I flushed its torso down the loo and said nothing to the poor girl who came to view the room. And if she did see the legs stuck out of the carpet, she never let on. |

u should have picked them up, if the little girl had tripped. she could have taken her eye oot with one of the legs :D
