It's 23 degrees at the moment, lovely and sunny. Not bad for midwinter?

Actually, it really needs to rain, a lot.

It seemed much colder this time last year, maybe we are going to have a mild winter.

We will need heaps of rain to survive next summer.

You can have some of our cold weather if you want it.

According to the weather resort yesterday, Brisbane was the coldest city in the country, with, of course, the exception of Canberra.

But its still dry, and bright, just a constant cold wind !!

Wierd isn't it ? You're in the middle of winter, we're in the middle of summer yet it's still warmer where you are !!

Yesterday I had a jumper on all day and contemplated putting the heating on again last night (it's only been off a few weeks). The weather man says it's going to rain all week and it's nearly July !!

Indeed, my cousin rubbed my nose in it when he told me over the weekend about the Perth winter heatwave.

My heating was on all weekend and a T shirt on for sleep time, outragous!!

This time last year I was in the iddle of a Hobart winter. That cold wind off the Antartic makes it feel an awful lot colder than what the temperature suggests!

Brrrr, makes me shiver thinking about it!

It went down to minus 12 when I was in Nundle. Thick frost. But then it would go up to 20 during the day. ANd the highs of 45+ in the summer made up for the chilly winter!
