Investing In A Business In Oz????
Hello 
A friend of mine runs a number of successful restaurants here in UK and is envious of our imminent departure to sunny Oz.
He wanted me to find out some things about emigrating to Oz through investing dosh. Does anyone iknow anything about this (How much, certain restrictions, age limits etc?). He is a resident of the UK and could plough some serious wonga into opening up a couple of top restaurants.
Help would be appreciado.

Have a look at this page from the DIMIA, it covers all the business visas and the investment visas. May help your friend narrow down his choices and decide which visa would be best for him.

The other thing is, if you are government sponsored on certain business visas there is much more leeway on age (i.e. normally its 45 max and for state sponsored business skills its 55, so big difference!).
Anyway, hope its of some use.
