Default Internet Banking - Which is the best?

I'd like to ask, which bank internet banking system do you use and what is your opinion about usage?

For me important this next to the account handling some savings feauters, for example terms deposit handling.

I have checked already the infochoice page (http://www.infochoice.com.au), but there is not information about the funds.

Do you know any bank where you can buy or sell funds (cash funds, property funds, shares fund, etc.)?

Thank you for any information.

Have you tried HSBC? Everyone here recommends the Online Savings account.
We're using them with no problems, including term deposits. I haven't tried any fund management, but there is a share trading section with these options:
> Share Holdings
> ASX Watchlist
> Research
> Buy Shares
> Sell Shares
> Managed Funds

They've got everything I could ask for, including credit card accounts, account transfers, BPAY, currency calculator...
and they don't charge any fees

We're with HSBC and have no real problems. Good interest and charges. Only drawbacks against other Aussie banks are lack of branches and ATMs.

You can always use a post office, or get cash back from Eftpos, but yes a few more branches would be nice. Sometimes you need to do things in person, which then involves taking a half day at work so you can get there when they're open.
For example, we had money invested in a term deposit that we needed to get before it matured. The brochure quite clearly states that this is possible using net/telephone banking service.
Wrong! You need to visit a branch in person to do this. Had a barny at some telephone operator and her manager but they wouldn't relent.
It was easier to transfer the funds from our UK HSBC account than visit a branch in the city (and this was when we were living in the city).
Oh well, that's banks for you.

There is if the total charges for 3 years comes to $0.00.

I have excluded the $4.40 BAD tax paid in 2001/2002, as that has since been abolished.

(BAD tax = Bank Account Debits Tax) for those who don't know, and may wonder

And Yes, thats with HSBC too.

Yes we also use HSBC - for everything except our mortgage. I use the internet, except for when I've had to go into the branch office to arrange bank cheques for our house - but that was straightforward at the Chatswood branch.

The online savings account works fine for us - especially with many other banks charging for the use of eftpos, atm use etc etc.

Thanks for info.

Today morning I received a mail from ANZ helpdesk and there is also possibility to handle term deposits online. It seems to me based on the demo the funds, trusts, shares handling only possible in a second system called E*TRADE. But with this you can trade international funds and shares also.

Is anybody use ANZ E*TRADE?

Do you know, which is the TOP10 banks in QLD? I read in some pages "we are the x-th biggest in Australia, but did not find the list.

Thanks again for kind help. ;-)

We opened our account with Suncorp in Queensland when we were in Australia to validate. They have been really helpful and the internet banking is great.
