Interesting Australian Point of View
Does this sound like UK? thought that curry was a bit on the iffy side last night ,then again its advertised as a British curry.
Australia is losing Australia
OUR Western style of democracy, with its roots based on the Christian religion, is fast slipping from our grip.
Last year we had a Muslim schoolteacher being awarded an undisclosed amount of taxpayers' money for being denied the right to wear a face-covering veil while teaching. Now a Muslim computer assembler has won a case against his employer who warned him about taking "unauthorised breaks" to perform his afternoon prayers and there is a test case where a Muslim prisoner is claiming discrimination by the NSW Department of Corrective Services for refusing to serve him halal food.
Melbourne airport has provided a special prayer room for Muslim taxi drivers and legislation is yet to be passed in Victoria banning the eating of dogs and cats for fear of upsetting certain ethnic groups.
Where will this all end? Andrew Browne, a British Labour MP, wrote an article published in The Times in August entitled Britain Is Losing Britain. We might well say Australia is losing Australia at the rate we're going.
The policy of multiculturalism must be replaced with our former and successful one of integration and assimilation.
PETER STINSON, Redcliffe.

without getting political, if you emigrate to anothers country, you abide by their laws. I accepted while in Asia there are certain things which you can not do. You accept the law of the land, otherwise don't go there.

The mistakes made in UK are carried on at a later date in Australia , this country follows not leads.

This shouldn't pose a problem..
Let's live together in harmony and in peace don't introduce discrimination which is trying to cover it self now.
