Default Interest on Bond

We will be getting our $5000 bond back in November and I was wondering what sort of interest (in $) will will receive? Just curious! Any one got theirs back recently?

Hi,

I would like to know the answer to this also.

We placed our bond of approx $5500.00 2 years ago (well our sponsor did - but it was our money) and we should be due something back soon.

It's a very low rate of interest because there's no competition. It has to be lodged with Commonwealth Bank. I think it was about 2.5%

Whoever lodged the bond for you should of been getting the interest ever since you lodged it.
Im the assurer for my parent contributory visa and lodged there's a couple of years back with Commonwealth, the interest earnt has to be paid into a seperate account as it was Bond. We get the interest every 3 months I think, I keep the lot , as I have to declare it on my end of year return and pay the tax on it
I get dad a pint every time he comes over
