Default Info on LG vacuum cleaner price - anyone?

Hello all,

We need a new vacuum cleaner and like the new LG compressor models. We don't know whether to buy here and pay 10% duty on the way in, or buy one there?

I can't find a price for one in Australia on the net, has anyone seen them - or got one? and can tell me how much they are in Oz?

Thanks.

Buy one there, remove it from the box, use it once and put it in your shipping

Vac's can be quite expensive out here, don't know how much they are though (that particular model)

If it has a rotor type engine then it will turn the other way on this hemisphere and it could blow instead of suck!

Seriously, Wendy's response is spot on but if the model is not available here you may want to be careful about getting spare parts. Also, the warranty may be null and void. As it is LG (like many of my things), you will probably need to use the warranty!

there's a vacuum sales company over here called Godfrey's they have extremely annoying ads but i don't seem to be able to find their website(got it... www.godfreys.com.au)
they stock and sell all the brands at cheap prices (so we're led to believe!)

i'd be inclined to check the LG Australia website and see if the model is sold here, like Andrew said you might find servicing and parts a problem otherwise

I should imagine brand new, unused ones would be okay. They'll be worried about insects and seeds that may be in the vacuum I expect?

Thanks for the link Wendy, I'll check that out.

Bought our one! Very old but excellent sucker! Cleaned it as best we could, no dramas bringing it in.
Had dramas with brand new bikes and brand new wooden chopping boards!

What was your bike drama? We are bringing in 3 bikes - none of which are new.

You had better do a search on AQIS of Quarantine on here or start a new thread! many stories!
My drama was that we had to pay for it to be steam cleaned (it was brand new and never used!). They let an older, dirtier rusty bike through without any problems!

It's really hit and miss with those guys
