People move here all the time, no way of keeping track as they come from (and go to_ every part of Australia as well as abroad.
You might as well ask the same question about London, its an impossible thing to track.

Last year my OH was told by a company in Brisbane that the city of Bisbane's population was growing each year by the equivalent population of Leeds. This was of course not all Brits and whether this is true is another thing, sounds alot but just look at the UK.

They reckon 1200 a week at the moment, not sure where the figures come from. Most of these are from moving up from down south, they call them the Mexicans here!

Is that why the infrastructure is falling apart?

No, its falling apart cos its cr*p and wasn't built to last. You know "She'll be right, the road will last a couple of years, then we'll worry about what to do next when it crumbles to dust under the truck wheels......"

Its easily that but to the SE corner so that includes coasts and surrounds too, its very high, areas expected to double in population in 20 years. Migrants are from all over australia as well as from many countries overseas.

Agree with polly and blokes sentiments, the infastructure cant really cope, level 5 water restrictions coming into the dry season roads are now no less conjested than syd and melb, some hospitals are half the size needed.
