do you mean a tinny? how many feet long? I imported a sailing yacht which is worth quite a lot more over in Australia than in Europe but I did have to pay import tax and gst after a 3 year leeway period.

My dream is to buy a sailing mono or cat in the med or Caribbean and spend a year or three sailing it down here. Would have to pay GST on the purchase value plus 5 % import duty. No import duty if boat was manufactured in USA.

The Suez / Indian ocean route is way too dangerous due to piracy these days. You would also have had some headwinds to contend with in the Indian ocean. I would think the longer Pacific route would have been easier.

Is it on a trailer, you will pay approx $10k plus port fees, GST and taxes, custom clearances.

Whats the value of it?

Can I ask what the $10k is for ? Shipping wouldnt be anywhere near that much.

You said 10k PLUS those things. It wouldnt even be half that amount in total.

If its half do it, or just ask a shipping company for a all inclusive quotation. You will have your answer.

But be warned cost creep, and its amazing what they dont tell you.
