immigration advice
Hi all,this is my first time on the forum.Could anyone advise please,we are hoping to move to australia,what do we do? my hubby is a qualified electrical engineer and qualified metallurgist.He's been employed by same company since leaving school.No reply as yet from immigration specialist on skilled, what should we do now to speed things up? who should we talk to now? PLEASE ADVISE thanks a lot DEBBIE&ALAN

Well, the way may seem daunting but as many will testify, it can be done.
The best thing to do is to visit the DIMA web site at
http://www.dimia.gov.au
This will at least give you a starting point. If you go down the Skilled migrant route then you will need to have hubby's skills assessed by the relevant body in Oz (Means gathering lots of evidence) although unless you can find a sponsor you should check you can meet the minimum points requirement.
It may seem an uphill struggle but it can be done.

I think you do need to check the DIMA site out as the first port of call. If you search through the treads on this forum for the specifics of how you can make this happen, (skills required, imigration agentts, details on aspects of the application) you'll find stacks of info. I know we have.
