i will be the only worker
hi all just wanted to know if i am the only one in our household working and im allowed to earn any $6000 before tax,is ther any tax benefits for my wife like the british gov brought in about a year ago, if earning under a basic amount per family a tax credit is paid direct to my wife its its about £45 amonth but it all helps,any such thing in oz?

You may want to look up Family Tax Benefit on the Centrelink site:

Most 'welfare' payments exclude PRs in the first two years, but not this one as far as I know.
