I did it !!!!!
I completed the Gold Coast Marathon.....well the 7.5 k walk in 1hour 8mins. It was a brilliant day and I am really proud of myself as I had never done any thing like that before.
Just wanted to share that with you all....going for a lie down now

As we set of for our race we could see the runners still completing the half marathon (21k) and the 10k runs on the other side of the road. So of them looked close to giving up so we all cheered them and shouted words of encouragement as we passed them.
I watched people stop and help others to finish and the feeling as you cross that finish line is fabulous.

It's Sunday 13th August. I was going to do it with another couple of woman but they can't make it so instead we are doing the 10K run at The Point Queen of the Lake (Albert Park) on Sunday 6th August and the Sandy half marathon on the 3rd September. If anyone else is interested in running these and wants to do some training pm me.
