The other bank I have a UK account with is Lloyds, so I'm trying to move everything to them to do internet banking (cos the Abbey are so Krap), hoowever it took me 10 minutes to get the gimp at the call centre to realise that I cannot just "nip into the branch with your passport" to prove my identity!Finally he said, "oh you mean you are in the Brisbane in Australia!" They have now said maybe they will settle for a certified copy of the passport!!
