Can anyone tell me what it is like around there? All I know it it has plenty of Wineries!!

Hi Scrawni,
We're heading to Newcastle in August. I grew up there but haven't lived there for over 20 years although have visited my parents during that time. All I can say is that we really like it - there are the vineyards about an hour or so away, the beaches, the lake and Sydney is just under 2 hours away.
