Default HSBC Increase savings interest rates

Hi All, just got this from HSBC, re. their Serious Saver Account:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear ********

Fantastic news! From Monday 4th December, you will earn 6.40%p.a.* every month you don't make a withdrawal with HSBC's Serious Saver. There's never been a better time to save!

Get serious about saving - set up regular payments to your Serious Saver account.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

I thought you may be interested. That's a positive move from 602 to 6.4%. It's still not quite what Bankwest are offering at 6.8%, but it's still pretty good, and is easy to open if you are an existing HSBC customer.

Hope that's useful
