I will go back when I am ready....I do not need to be given money....have already 'made' several hundred thousand pounds on the exchange rate.....although lost pension wise.

30,000 would do it for me easily, with that and the constant dwindling tiny bit of savings we have would easily buy us a house in our town (yep houses dont come much cheaper than kilmarnock

Wouldn't do it at night, as I'd have to walk through Redfern, but I could. 
(The nearest pub is actually downstairs, in the same building as our apartment.)Money wouldn't get me back to the UK (which is not "home" and has not been since 2002) but family circumstances may well get me back there one day - which I've always known - although I'd be off back to wherever home currently was as soon as I could.
