I will go back when I am ready....I do not need to be given money....have already 'made' several hundred thousand pounds on the exchange rate.....although lost pension wise.

I have said $400,000 as that would get us a house for about 250k which would give us everything we want.

Where's the 'no amount of money would make me go back' option?

That's what I'd go for.

No amount of cash included in your list would induce me to move back to the UK, thanks.

It would have to be in the tens of millions before I would consider it. And then I'd still spend most of the year here.

No amount of money for me either. This is home. And money isn't everything.

Depends where I find myself at the end of the night, but the taxi fare is usually about $25.

You lucky barsteward, for me from the city it's about $100 and from the nearest train station about $40.

Probably best for the liver ...

30,000 would do it for me easily, with that and the constant dwindling tiny bit of savings we have would easily buy us a house in our town (yep houses dont come much cheaper than kilmarnock), then hopefully get a job, and we'd be laughing!

I can walk home from the centre of Sydney in about 45 minutes. Wouldn't do it at night, as I'd have to walk through Redfern, but I could. (The nearest pub is actually downstairs, in the same building as our apartment.)

Money wouldn't get me back to the UK (which is not "home" and has not been since 2002) but family circumstances may well get me back there one day - which I've always known - although I'd be off back to wherever home currently was as soon as I could.

Told the truth, would never want to have to live back in the UK, can't predict the future but your money would make me consider it...
