We flew here on my 40th birthday. I think there are plenty people in their early forties making the move as with the cut off being 45 it really is a matter of now or never. We would have liked to have come over when we were younger but we got knocked back so we shelved the idea......then knowing that once you hit 45 it would be too late we just went for it, and here we are!

Hubby will be 45 in 3 months and just at completing skills assessment stage :scared: , but we think for nurses the cut off age is 48

We put in our application on hubby's skills seven months before he turned 45 (I was already past that ) and we got the visas.

I don't see why. Depends if you've got what they want. We're here currently on a 457, but are in the process of converting to PR. My husband (primary applicant) is 47 and I am 50. Our PR application has been provisionally approved, and we are just waiting the medical clearance - which I'm holding up with high blood pressure.

My husband is applying under the special circumstances as he is deemed to have *recognised* skills by his company here. They are sponsoring our PR application (ENS). Reckon if we can get it, anyone can!

Good luck.

Sue

As far as I'm aware age is not an issue with spouse visas. Should be back quick. Save the nails
