I work for "The world's leading ferry company" (their words not ours)! Stena Line. They are so leading in fact that we have not made any profit for the last 8 years and they have now decided to do something dramatic about it.
It was announced on friday that 170 staff members in Kent were being made redundant - the whole office!
They are phasing out staff from August to October and giving us all £4,000.00 to do so.
I am migrating in October and was leaving the company in September anyway! I even got interviewed by the news about it!

So I am being given 4 grand for leaving!! That'll do nicely, thank you very much!

Bring on the spending!

Unfortunately though, the other 169 are devastated understandably.
