We're moving to Sydney in September and we're in the process of looking for short-term accommodation in the Manly area for us to stay in initally while we look for a more permanent rental. It's so expensive, so we want to keep it as short as possible. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how long it might take us to find a rental and how long we should pre-book the short-stay for?

Also, if anyone can recommend any short-term accommodation (not too expensive of course!) we'd love to hear from you too.
