Default How long

Just wondering how many others are a few years away from being able to apply to go to Aus?
As far as I can work out it'll be at least 2 years before we can even apply, due to needing a set amount of experience before we can get the points required. Seems like a big part of our life is now on hold and it's driving me bonkers . Want to do semi normal things like buy a house, but there's no point now. Find a job I enjoy, once again no point as I have to do the job I'm doing now to enable the move to take place!
Is anyone else in the situation and how do you cope? I'm a bit lost on how to manage life when I want to change my life now but can't :scared:

Yep..me too..gotta get 2 years experience in my job that I have just re-trained in to get into OZ. Mind you, I have just scored a cracking job so I can wait a couple of years..I'll just keep going out on holidays in the meantime

Well might be more bearable but can't afford a holiday and saving like crazy to be able to cover all associated costs and to cover first few months out there and hopefully a deposit for our first place in Aus!

You seem to have everything sorted! Wish I had

Well, kinda got it sorted..as long as they dont take my job off the list once I have done my 2 years. Guess i'm lucky in a way as I have lived in OZ for 4 of the last 6 years so have some great friends who will help me out when I do eventually get there plus who will put me up in the meantime for holidays.

I'm also lucky as my new job includes accommodation so hopefully I can save like crazy to pay for all the costs of getting a visa

God only been the once and would have much rather hacked my arm off with a rusty blunt blade than have left .
Really can't wait to get back there felt so at home when not at home? Can't exactly describe it. Should have claimed asylum when there but thought my case wouldn't stand up that my family oppress me
