My migration agent has sent all paperwork, police checks and medicals (everything fine) to the Adelaide office but does anyone how long it usually takes to be granted the visa one they have everything?

It's a skilled migrant visa.

I'm not sure what the process is from now and my visa consultant is holiday this week so I can't ask her...I'm sure you can imagine that the waiting/hoping is driving me nuts (!!) and was wondering if anyone on this forum knew

Someone will answer this better than I, but I think if your profession is not in demand the current wait for subclass 136 visa is about 52 weeks.

I think luck has a lot to to do with it. We applied in March and got the visa in September. Other people on this forum applied round about the same time still and haven't even been assigned case workers. Jim is in IT and I don't think that's particularly in demand just now.

i guess when you say medicals etc sent that they were requested ? if so then 6 months upwords

There are no set guidelines, other than DIMIAS " it can take upto 50 wks ".
