Default How do you organise a rental property from UK?

Hi!
My husband, 2 boys and I are relocating to Melbourne in August and wanted to know how you organise a rental property before you arrive in the country? Or short term accommodation that won't cost the earth we could stay in while we find rental accommodation.
Also any tips on finding jobs before you arrived or general top tips for an easy transition would be greatly appreciated. Xx

Get a serviced apartment or airb&b for a few weeks.

You don't want to be renting something long term without seeing it first. Photo's are often fudged.

Also agents are unlikely to rent you something unseen unless you throw them double the going rate, and considering you mention "won't cost the earth", not spending above the normal is obviously important to you.

You don't - book something temporary for a couple of weeks and give yourselves time to get here and settle in before making these decisions. Agents are unlikely to rent to you from the UK in any case. Get a serviced apartment or Air BnB as suggested
