How do we connect our UK phones to Aus phone sockets?

Re: How do we connect our UK phones to Aus phone sockets?
Uk Phones actually work on a different Frequency and will not work on the Australian network. I believe it is actually illegal to try because they could interfere with Emergency services Etc Etc. Some have been known to open garage doors (the motorized ones). Buy an Australian Phone, they are not expensive.

Re: How do we connect our UK phones to Aus phone sockets?
Hello
Our UK telephones have standard UK phone plugs like this -

However in our rental the phone sockets are RJ11 like this -

Does anyone know if we can buy adapters or anything, or will we have to buy new phones?
Thanks
Buzzy

My philips dects are fine too, so is my speedtouch 585 adsl ( you may need to switch auth mode here to PPPoE instead of PPPoA )
