It is a literacy test assessing reading writing speaking and listening. If you can do all those things with ease it will be no trouble at all.

Provided its not a degree in interpretive dance, you'll probable find it no problem. Just make sure you practice the test types first - they do try to catch you out.

Re: How difficult is the IELTS General for a Degree qualified native English speaker
Hi there, I am native English I took the test 3 weeks ago, I had a week to prepare for it. I am 31 last did any kind of English etc at school 15years ago don't do a lot of reading or writing as I work in construction.
I did a lot of the practice material online but found it very frustrating, I then had an hour lesson with an IELTS tutor who deals with ielts takers all the time, she pointed out my writing style was very formal and I was quite repetitive when I speak, so with all this on board I was certain I was going to mess up! I took the test, which was all on paper rather than computers and I found it way easier than any of the practice stuff as I could write notes and double check etc.
I got my results last week I got 9 in reading, 8.5 in listening and writing and 8 in speaking! So if your reading and writing a lot I'm sure you'll smash it! Good luck!
