Default Housing in Brisbane

We want to move to Brisbane and eventually buy a home over there. Work will be in the suburb of Enoggera but will buy anywhere that we can travel there fairly easily from - any recommendations? We thought that the norm was to buy land and have a house built, is this true? If so, how much are we looking at for Brisbane, for a 'normal' home (not that there is such a thing!) Any guidance would be great.

Are you in the military?

Not too sure on the area but believe that Samford has received good reviews here and is pretty close to Enoggera.

This web site http://www.realestate.com.au/cgi-bin...g=&cu=&snf=ras will help in getting an idea of prices, just type in the suburb, and type of property you want.

We will be if they'll have us!! Samford looks lovely so thanks for that tip. What about parcels of land - or are they not really available in the right areas?

You really need to speak to a real estate agent in that area.

If you go onto the Century21 web site and look for ferny grove you will find Grants real estate.(mailto:[email protected])

Speak to or mail a guy called David Tyler, he lives and works in the area you are looking at and has some properties in Samford. He is a top bloke and will help you out,

Good look.
