Yes, today ours went up, we havent got the visa yet, but have received communication stating they are just awaiting our medical all clear.

It seems very weird and a little scary now that the house is up for sale. As I said to the missus it is real now!! :scared: :scared:

Anyone else get this feeling of apprehension?

My house is going on the market in the next couple of weeks. I am just hoping it sells really quick. Not got the visa yet, had my meds done today, but feeling really excited.

Know exactly how it feels mate.

We got our visa in June, immediately put the house on the market..........and even now have not been able to sell

In the meantime have lopped £20k off the asking price but still nothing doing. The housing market in Cornwall has completely stalled for several weeks now. Prices are not falling though.

Have remortgaged to release some equity to allow us to get moving. Now need to decide whether to leave it on the market or rent it out right away.
If it doesn't sell after a few months we would have to rent it anyway.

Best of luck with your sale.........if it does look like going on a bit consider if there is anything else you can do.

Apprehension indeed. Our house is sold (all bar the shouting) and I haven't even APPLIED for my visa yet

Hi We have got the first of three estate agents around tomorrow

We are the same as you, still have`nt applied for visa yet! We just thought that how things are going at the moment with the market we would rather sell a.s.a.p and take a chance :scared:

Ours went on the market 1st Sept, quite a few viewings, no decent offers yet, sending meds tomorrow.

Just picked up a little old banger to run around in for a few months, now got to sell the main car. Business up for sale next week.

Oh God this really does feel scary and real but also sooooo exciting.

readsing the replys to this one is real scary had the valuations but havent got the confidence to put house on the market till the yellow envelope arrives but then what if it doesnt sell

I am a midwife but this whole business is worse than childbirth deffinately more stressful and unpredictable

and like a baby the visa is just the start good luck with the sale mary

Hiya Dicko,
Yup am feeling very apprehensive now. Meds booked, house been on the market 13 weeks and only had 2 viewings. Well agent says more but when your mail is still on the floor and they have done a late afternoon viewing, doesn't add up really. I know post is crap but not that crap. Have a new agent coming out tomorrow, may have to drop the price for a quick sale as we want to be away as soon as we get visa. Hope all goes well with next stages.

I know what you mean - we put our house up for sale a week ago and look s like we have a buyer already - YIKES!! It wasn't meant to happen that quick!!

S'pose better quickly than waiting months to sell it but it is scary!!!!!!!
