We are thinking of coming over on a holiday to get a taste of aussie life before making a final decision about emigration. Thinking of doing a house swap a) to keep costs lower and b) thinking it might be a more realistic picture than spending time in hotels. Has anyone done a house swap before and if so - what are your thoughts?

Not done it but I have heard of homelink.org, they have been featured on a Tv programme in the UK.

I've done it with my parents as a kid, and plan on doing it over xmas when we go back to Europe for a few weeks so our cats are looked after. Strongly reccomend it- lots of good agencies online.
