The surveyor has just phoned and told us that they will be coming tomorrow at 8.30am.....Gulp.
Hopefully it won't be too bad as they said it only takes 20 minutes (do you think that's just a valuation?) and it is exactly the same man that surveyed our house when we bought it 16 months ago. All of his findings from then, we have had fixed - with guarantees.
Karma and good luck would still be appreciated, as we fly to Sydney 50 days today!!!

Nooooo.....bad news!
They came and did the 20 minute valuation yesterday, found a couple of positive moisture readings (The house is 1870) nothing to worry about. That was 10am.
5pm the surveyor phones back and says they have done the worng survey and they now have to do a homebuyers 2-2.5 hour one.
They are here now, so I am sat here shaking as he goes through the house with a fine tooth comb.
....and breathe! :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared: :scared:

He has told me they are retaining £1k, given that we are heading to Oz in less than 50 days, I think it best we knock it off the asking price! Quite chuffed with the £1k!!
