house survey
And everything was going soooooooooo well.
The house is sold and as i type, the purchasers surveyor is here looking at the house.I say looking at the house because he's been here for over half an hour already and hasn't done inside yet, he's still wandering round the garden.
He keeps standing in the front garden and shields his eyes whilst looking up at something. It would probably be a relief if it was only ann-marie getting changed and forgeting to close the curtains but this !!!!.
He's there again !
looking up................shielding eyes...................now he's writing something........................we're f@[+&d .
now he's squatting in front of the window..........he's got his head tilted to one side ( that can't be good )............ok, stood AT the window looking up..................and now more writing..........................
it is 14:02
just thought, gonna have to close this window when he comes in lol.
OK, he's coming in now, back soon ( i hope ) it is 14:15

she's walking round with half her thong and most of one ### hanging out.
This has obviously had a reverse effect and so she is now wearing a duffel-coat lol.
He's upstairs now, been in the loft and now theres some banging coming from upstairs.................nope, ann-marie is down here with me so god knows what he's doing..................
Time is now 14:43 and he's been here over an hour.
Still not done downstairs yet.

He's gone.
15:25
Took a photo around the back of the house.
will not disclose results, for the benefit of the lender and purchaser only.
Basically, all the colour has now gone from our faces and we have to sit around for the next few days crapping ourselves.

Now going to get bladdered

that's what we thought jeff.
In total he spent over an hour and a half ( intermediate survey )rooting through our home prodding walls, jumping up and down on the floor, going up in the loft etc. and then we ask him " anything to worry about ? " and he turns round with " i really can't say, i merely do the report and a copy go's to the lender and the purchaser. It is then up to them to make any decisions. "
So we ask if we'll get a copy of the report and he replies " no ", " it is purely for the benefit of the lender and purchaser"
And then he left.
we have no idea at all what his report will say. All we can do is wait to hear from the couple buying the house. No idea how long that will be.
We know things need doing in the house and so now the imagination takes over and to be honest it feels like a huge blow.

When we sold our previous house the purchasers surveyor spent some time telling us of some of the problems he found with our house and also gave us some advice on how to repair a couple of the problems. He's either a miserable git or prevented by his company's policy.
Our purchasers tried to negotiate a new price on the result of the work required but we refused and held out. They bought the house after only a couple of weeks of failing to change our minds.
Its a gamble but the chances are if it's not too expensive to repair then having gone this far down the road and having paid for a survey they will still buy it.
