just wondering is there a sold house price website for NSW? for example there nethouseprices.com in britain? is there something similar in oz?

i hear there is house price drops at the moment so would be good to get a feel for prices etc for when i arrive

If you want just a general feel for a area/suburb/street or the last selling price of a specific address, there's this: Property Value or if you want to see a more extensive selling history on a specific address there's this: Research the value of any property in Australia
I like the realestate.com.au site - you can also put a suburb and property type into here: Recently sold in the area and you can see what has sold, when and for how much.

This one is interesting. Its gives a nice little line graph on where things are heading.

Of course, Google "suburb name house prices" will throw up a bunch of sites.

Not the best of investments at the moment, but plenty of industry focused sites are out there. Balance those by looking at future predictions as to where property is heading as well.
