Hope Island
Does anyone live in or around this area that could gives us some info?
(Hope Island, Gold Coast)
We would love to know what the local high school is like and if it's considered a 'family' area.
Thanks in advance for any help

Re: Hope Island
We live in coomera waters which is just next door to hope island, we think the area is a great place, hope island is really nice and safe and you have nice places surrounding you such as sanctuary cove which is also really nice, we dont have kids but i would say it would be a really safe place to bring them up. Also the area is amazing if you play golf as you are surrounded by some amazing courses.

Upper Coomera State College.
Just a different point of view. Personally Hope Island and Sanctuary Cove look and feel like a very upmarket prison but lots of other like it so that's cool.
There is also Coombabah High School about which I know nothing. Lots of threads about UCSC.

Re: Hope Island
Now its part of the ever growing northern spread of the Gold Coast, and its home to lots and lots of large, new, expensive homes. Waterfront blocks start at about $500,000 and many are over $1m and thats for the block so you are looking at a lot of $$$$ for most property there. There are also townhouses but many of these are owned for short term rentals/investment/ people on golfing holidays so I doubt you would get to know your neighbours much, some friends of ours have just left the area as they said it wasn't that friendly...to me its very artifical, but I suppose some people if they have the money and want to be on a very new development in the north GC may like it, depends what you are looking for.
