Ive had 2 mortgages in the UK, does this mean i wont be able to apply for a homeowners grant? Are they purely for first time buyers or just first time buyers in Aus? Any ideas greatly appreciated

As far as Im aware, you qualify if you've never owned a house in Australia before.
There have been a number of threads on this, one not so long ago.

Apparently according to a friend of mine who is just going through this situation, you ARE able to get the homebuyers grant BUT you cant get the stamp duty relief.

I was fully honest with the bank and not expecting the FHOG but they asssured me I was entitled to that but NOT to stamp duty relief (which is nowhere near as bad as where we came from!)
