Default home insurance

we are leaving our house to sell next week and it will be completely empty.if i tell them its vacant will they drop the monthly price or increase it, or cancel it all together. or shall i just say nothing.
minor problem i know, but even the minor problems feel like major ones at the minute.
thanks

If you say nothing and need to claim then you might get your claim rejected. Check your policy, it's normal for there to be a maximum period that you can leave it empty with no premium change. Some policies may have a larger excess if the property is unnoccupied.
