Geikie Gorge, rocks formed by VERY old corals. THis used to be ocean.
In this river, there were fish that usually are only found in the ocean. They have now adapted themselves to these circumstances(evolution).
Also freshwater crocs in there.

(years later, my dad had an operation in Derby for his appendice, after travelling about 200 km's from Broome, in the back of an 'ambulance', on a gravel road (bumpty bump) WITH appendicitis!!

The cat that took us out .....arrived at pontoon 30k later.....it was that big ......freash sea food cooked on board , even had it's own sub and helicoper! ....well impressed.
