I would love to say it was right to let him out BUT I don't want him living near me. Sorry.

Re: Hmmm ...
This (in general) is such an emotive subject. I'll try not to get on my soap box, but:
Yes, Ok, he's served his time - what about the children he abused? - their 'time' will never end until the day they die - abuse, whether it be mental, physical or sexual lasts a lifetime and the mental scars are carried with you always. It affects your personal relationships and the way you handle life.
If there is unequivocal evidence proving such a crime, then the offender should remain in custody, end of.
No escape, no clean slate, no anonymity (yes, i know in this case he's all over the news...).
Scourge of society, praying on innocents too small too protect themselves.
Failing that, bring back the birch.

I'm all for giving someone a second chance, if they abuse their second chance then they should be chemically castrated.

Re: Hmmm ...
Sorry but didn't he have a 'chance' to redeem himself after the first child he abused? And how many more did he go on to abuse? I'd say he's had all his chances already.
Castrate him, but make sure it's painful.

So he's now 'cured' after 40 years? Yeah right! Cut 'em off I say.

Re: Hmmm ...
Maybe he was parolled knowing he was going to be deported, therefore absolving WA's responsibility to look after him and the costs that go with it.
Saying that, Britain has probably done the same. I remember the rumour that Jamie Bulgers killers were going to be shipped abroad, so i guess its not uncommon. Whether its right or not is another matter.

Re: Hmmm ...
A child has just one chance to be a child and nobody no matter what their sexual preference, their history or their mindset has the right to jeopordise that.
A Paedophille that people consider to 'have served their time' will be given many more chances to abuse children and ruin their precious little lives.
The child's chance at life supercedes that of a rehabilitated kiddy fiddler in all cases.
Someone that abuses children should never ever be given the chance to do it again.
When you say, 'give them a chance to serve their time and if they do it again to castrate them' Well why the hell should they be given that second chance when their victims wont get that privilege.
They are dangerous, they did it once because they liked it, and once they abuse the rights of a child, they should forfeit their own.
And absolutely NO second chances to do it again.
Because its never the rights of the do gooders that are violated is it?
