Can anyone please tell me when high season starts and ends in Australia?

Basically anytime the schools are on holiday, accommodation is in short supply and the prices go through the roof.

http://education.qld.gov.au/public_m.../holidays.html Check out this - tells you the school term times/holiday times so you can work around them. "Winter" is between June and August, probably the cheapest time
