Hic!
Well - I have been and gone and done it!
Have today posted my application for permanent migration to Aus.
(Wanted to snatch it back out of the post box though! Extremely scared)
First step on the long, long way there...
Just had a bottle of Jacob's Creek sparkling Chardonnay to celebrate! ;-)
Fingers crossed for the next 1(?) 2(?) X(?) years....!

Congratulations !!
I see you do not live far up the road, what part of Oz are you hoping to go to?
We only sent our application off about 5 weeks ago but it feels like for ever. I said to my husband this morning that the waiting is worse than waiting for a pregnancy to end, at least at the end of 40 weeks you get a result !!!

Hoping to go to Adelaide.
Not too big and not too remote (we think).
Whereabouts are you thinking of settling?
I can't believe what a small world it is - the whole of Essex seems to be emigrating when you read this site!

Can you blame them !
We are looking arounf Coffs Harbour at the moment, which is about half way between Sydney & Brisbane.
We are going out in December for a look round. We wanted to avoid the big Cities if poss, as I am concerned that all we will be doing is just end up swapping one ciy for another

Bon Voyage!!
Wow!
Going for good or a holiday?
(Either way - hope it works out well)
It would be lovely to have some contacts with people who appreciate the real pain you go through to get out there ....!
